Richmond Tree Week: Community Tree Planting at Swansboro Playground

About this event

Hosted by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities and Capital Trees

What?

Join the City of Richmond's Parks & Rec and our partner, Capital Trees , to plant new trees! We will plant new trees on the property and maintain existing young trees at Swansboro Playground in the Swansboro/Broad Rock neighborhoods on Southside. These trees will beautify the area and create habitat for birds and other local wildlife, and once they reach maturity, they will provide shade and cool temperatures in an area frequented by park visitors and playground users.

When?

Friday, November 6, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Where?

Swansboro Playground, 3055 Logandale Ave

Register through CFengage
