About this event
Richmond’s Urban Forestry Commission (UFC) shapes the strategy, policy, and public engagement that support the city’s urban forest. The committee ensures tree canopy growth, sustainability, and equitable benefits across the community — not just through planting trees, but also by embedding urban forestry into local governance, civic awareness, and city planning.
What?
At its monthly meetings, the UFC follows a structured agenda to guide its work — addressing administrative tasks, reviewing strategic priorities, and coordinating ongoing efforts. These meetings are open to the public, and attendance is encouraged for anyone interested in the future of Richmond’s tree canopy.

Where?
Richmond Public Library, 101 E Franklin St, Richmond, VA 23219, USA, Gellman Room
