About this event

Join creators Kristina Ancil Edwards and Lindsay Benson Garrett for FALLOW, a free evening of live dance, song, film, poetry, and interactive art at Richmond Movement Center during downtown Richmond’s First Fridays.

FALLOW embraces the fertile darkness of cycles: the quiet beneath the surface where seeds rest, roots begin, and new life gathers before it reaches the light. Through voice, movement, and image, two half-hour performances invite us to reflect on what we hold in hope and what needs time to grow.

Between shows, enter a lush greenhouse to write a wish on seed paper, then carry your desires into the dreaming ground, where soil and trowels await. Let your wish rest through winter, trusting in the possibility that something tender may take root and emerge in spring.

Friday, November 6, 2026 Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Performances at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; each runs approximately 30 minutes.

Greenhouse and seed-paper planting experience available between performances.

Listed by Richmond (Google Calendar), gathered by the Short Pump events calendar.
